What could cause the Current Limitation function of the ATV71 series drive to not limit the motor current?

Why would the Current Limitation function of the ATV71 series drive not limit running motor current.

Cause:
Current Limitation has not been configured for the motor
Resolution:
When Current Limitation (CLI) is set to a value lower than the no-load current of the motor, the function becomes inactive. Otherwise there would be no way to turn the motor. Ensure that the Motor Rated Current and Motor Thermal Current settings were configured to match the motor's nameplate.
