How to change PME 9.0 system from standalone to distributed architecture without changing application servers using the CM Tool?

Issue
Configuration Manager Toolversion 9.0 does not natively support upgrades or migrations to different architectures.

Power Monitoring Expert (PME) 9.0 Standalone to Distributed

Resolution
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*

In order to migrate from Standalone to Distributed Configuration in PME 9.0 using CM Tool, please follow these steps:

1. Run the CM Tool 9.0 to save archive of PME system, including the database (just in case, also take separate backup of the database and config folder in case something goes wrong with CM Tool archive)
2. Uninstall PME from the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features
3. Proceed with step 1 on the attached document in order to install PME 9.0 Distributed on the Application server.

The CM Tool supports architecture changes as of PME 2020. For PME 2020 and higher please see FAQ000264711 for the steps on upgrading and migrating PME systems.
