Does PacDrive 3 support the automatic commissioning of a ProfiNet IO system/automatic device replacement?
Yes, with EcoStruxure MachineExpert V2.0 a new ProfiNet driver was implemented, which now also supports LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) and the topology editor. It is now possible to configure the network topology in the ProfiNet-IO controller so that the LMC can automatically detect all non-configured devices during startup and configure them accordingly.
