What level of ground fault protection does the ATV320 provide?

Resolution:

There are two methods for ground fault detection according to drive size.

For small VSD size, the ground short circuit detection SCF3 is done by a current mirror on the DCBUS current.

The circuit detection compare the current on +DCBUS with the current on -DCBUS.

For bigger VSD size the ground short circuit detection SCF3 is done by homopolar current sensor.

The homopolar current sensor measures the unbalance between the three input phases.

For both methods, the threshold detection is 25% of the nominal inverter current.

This Threshold is fixed value for ATV320 and can't be adjusted.
