Can ION8300/ION8400/ION8500 Templates Be Uploaded to ION8600 or ION8650 meters?

Issue
When attempting to upload a meter template (.dcf) to an ION 8xxx meter, ION Setup will give an error if the meter template is incompatible with the destination meter.

Cause

Due to feature differences among the different meters, only certain templates can be uploaded to certain meters.

Resolution

The following table shows the template compatibility between the different 8xxx meters.

	8300	8400	8500	8600C	8600B	8600A	8650C	8650B	8650A
ION 8300 framework will upload to	X	X	X	X	X	X	X	X	X
ION 8400 framework will upload to		X	X		X	X		X	X
ION 8500 framework will upload to			X			X			X

For example, an 8400 meter template will upload to the 8400, 8500, 8600B and 8600A meters. The 8400 will only accept templates from 8300 and 8400 meters.
