How to change SQL ION Password in a PME distributed system?

*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*
For PME 8.2 and beyond use the following steps on the application server:
  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Select "Uninstall Program" or "Programs and features" depending on the view in Control Panel
  3. Select Power Monitoring Expert and click the "Change" button or right click on Power monitoring expert and select "Change" from the options
  4. Click on "Reset Accounts"
  5. Select Next twice 
  6. Once on the Database Account section Click "Change Password" to set the ION password to desired value
  7. Finish the installer to finalize the changes

For PME 7.2.2 through PME 8.1 use the following steps:
  1. Stop all Power Monitoring Expert services.
  2. Open databasemanager.exe in '...\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\bin' folder on the primary server or from Tools inside Management Console.
  3. Right-click Databases then select Modify Login to open the Modify Login dialog.
  1. Type your password in the Password field(this must be a SQL administrative password).Click OK.
  1. From the Login Name dropdown list select ION if it is not already selected. Type the new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields. Click OK.

  1. Restart the services.
