Issue
Is a BMEAHI0821 card only configurable with DHCP in a M580 architecture?
Product Line
BMXEAHI0821
Resolution
The FDR (faulty device replacement) functionality is a feature used by CPU/NOC to assign the same IP and configuration to a new BMEAHI0821 module when replacing a faulty one on the same rack/slot. The module gets its IP only via DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) and configuration is transferred from the FDR server of the CPU or NOC.
