SCADAPack 474 Counter Inputs Wiring example

Remove power from all devices before connecting or disconnecting inputs or outputs to any terminal or installing or removing any hardware.

UNINTEDED EQUIPMENT OPERATION
When wiring Counter inputs:
  • Confirm that the connection to the counter input does not exceed the ratings for the counter input. Please see the Specification below.
  • Confirm that the polarity of the connections with the two positive terminals wired together and the the two negative terminals wired together.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN EQUIPMENT DAMAGE.

1. In RemoteConnect, Configuration-SPx70 Controller>Configuration>Physical I/O>Local. The channel DI1 and D12 are configured for 10KHz turbine counter inputs. The Channel DI3 is configured for 10KHz counter.
2.  The figure below shows a connection.
  • Remove the power before servicing the unit.
  • The counter inputs DC inputs ranging from 12 to 24Volts. Observe signal polarity. Connect the positive signal to the channel DI input. Connect the negative signal to COM.
