BN1500M2 Displays d.S.d or E.S.d code on LCD Display

Problem:

The BN1500M2 UPS displays either a d.S.d or E.S.d code on its LCD screen.

Solution:

These codes indicate the status of the Low Load Shutdown feature:

  • d.S.d = Low Load Shutdown Disabled
  • E.S.d = Low Load Shutdown Enabled

By default, the Low Load Shutdown feature is disabled. When enabled, this feature allows the UPS to continue supplying battery power to connected equipment drawing less than 15 watts, preventing the unit from shutting down due to low load conditions. This can be useful for supporting small or low-power devices during a power outage.

To Enable or Disable the Low Load Shutdown Feature:

  1. Ensure the UPS is turned off and connected to AC power.
  2. Press and hold both the Power and Mute buttons simultaneously.
  3. The LCD display will indicate the current status of the Low Load Shutdown feature:
  • d.S.d = Disabled
  • E.S.d = Enabled

Release the buttons once the status is displayed.
