Power Monitoring Expert Web.Config Files

Cause

There are web.config files for each site PME uses for its Web Applications. Each of these sites has a section dedicated to request filtering for the HTTP methods (verbs) allowed by the web.config. If these settings are reproduced elsewhere, for example in the web.config file in the root of the web directory or in the applicationhost.config files. It is not recommended to change these files directly so, it is best to deal with the request filtering inside the PME web.config files instead.

You can verify that this error is relevant by navigating to localhost\webservices, https:\\[fully qualified domain name]\Webservices or https:\\[IP address]\Webservices.

HTTP Error 500.19 Internal Server Error

Resolution

In the following locations, backup each web.config file to a safe location in case revision is required. If PME is not installed on the C drive, navigate to the location where PME is installed.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\Applications\Dashboards

C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\Applications\EWS

Delete everything between <verbs allowUnlisted ="false"> and </verbs>.

Request filtering verbs

It is paramount that these changes are made to ALL of the web.config files listed. Leaving one will generate the same error.

After the lines have been deleted from the web.config files, open CMD prompt as an administrator and run the iisreset command. Open services and restart the IION Application Modules Core Services Host.
