Resolution

Note: If there are PME driver files (.ion and .xml) with the same name in both of these folders below, PME will always use the version of those files located in the …\config\translators folder.

  • …\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\translators
  • …\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\config\translators

1. Open File Explorer, then navigate to …\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\translators.

2. Copy the .ion and .xml file for the device type you want to edit.

3. In File Explorer, navigate to …\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\config\translators.

4. Paste the .ion and .xml files into this folder.

5. Open Management Console > Tools > System > Device Type Editor:

Device Type Editor

6. File > Open, then navigate to …\Power Monitoring Expert\config\translators:

config translators folder

7. Open the previously copied .ion file.

8. Make the desired changes, which can include changes to software logging.

9. File > Save.
