Issue:
Motor leads length on a ATV212 S-flex

Resolution:
The longer the cable, the greater the capacitance. Cable lengths greater than 164 ft (50 m) may appear as a ground fault condition to the drive.  For installations where cable capacitances may be a problem, a reactor or motor protection filter can be installed between the drive and the motor.

The S-Flex is not intended to be used where extremely long output cable runs are required.  Maximum output cable length for standard duty motors should be limited to 100 m (328 ft).  For applications exceeding this cable length, consult the Drives Application Engineer.
