How to compact the PlantStruxure PES Database size to minimum.

PES V3.1
When an element is deleted from the database, the database still keeps its size!

Causes and Fixes

Steps to Minimize the Plantstruxure  Process Expert System (PES) Database Size:

1. Prerequisites:
PES V3.1 must be installed. The database which will be optimized must be the one used by PES.

2. Select Cache icon on the right side of the toolbar, right click and select Management Portal.

3.The Management Portal webpage appear in the browser. Select the "Databases" Menu and then, click on the "Freespace" button.

4. User will observe the list of all Database managed by Cache. The database of PES is called "StruxurewarePE".
On the right side of its line, user can click on the compact link.

5. Select the Maximum of Freespace to be moved at the end of the database. When it is done, select truncate link, still on the StruxurewarePE line, and fill the value 0 to remove all free space.

The database size has been reduced to its minimum.
