Can an Altistart Soft Starter be used on a Wye start / Delta run type motor?

Issue:
Can a SS be used on Wye start / Delta run type motor?

Product Line:
Altistart soft starters

Environment:
All models, All serial numbers

Cause:
Customer has an existing Wye/Delta motor but would like to connect a soft starter to it.  They are unsure where to connect the soft start.

Resolution:
Yes, an ATS22 and ATS48 Soft Starter can be used on a Wye/Delta type motor.  The output of the starter should be connected to the motor run windings only (usually the delta).
