Issue
Customer has a daisy chain connected serially to the computer using RS485-USB adapter (Model#: USOPTL4). He can connect to any meter on that daisy chain and read registers using Modbus Tester (See FA180037 to learn more about Modbus Tester). However when using the adapter as a serial site in PME, the connection times out.

Resolution
Modbus Tester software requires the "Echo" dip switch (located on the back of RS485-USB adapter) to be ON when communicating with Modbus devices.
Power Monitoring Expert, StruxureWare Power Monitoring, and ION Enterprise require "Echo" to be OFF when communicating with devices.
ION Setup 3.0 configuration software also requires "Echo" to be OFF.
