Using Connexium Configurator utility to setup Connexium and Modicon switch IP address

Procedure for setting up the initial IP address or change an existing IP address on a Connexium and Modicon managed switch

Resolution
First, Open up the Connexium Configurator utility and select the Local Ethernet interface IP address used on your PC to connect to the Connexium oe Modicon Switch
1. Click Down Arrowhead to display the available IP addresses
2. Click the IP address to Select
After the IP address of PC is selected.
1. Click the Rescan button to scan for Connexium or Modicon switches on the network
The IP address of the discovered Connexium or Modicon Switches are displayed
1. Select the number 1 entry to assign a new IP address
2. Then select Edit from the tool bar
3. Select 'Change Device Properties' from menu
4. Type in new IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway for the Connexium or Modicon Switch
5. Click 'Save as Default' button to setp new IP address as default IP
6. Click Okay button
7. The new IP address has been assigned to the Connexium or Modicon Switch
To Change the IP address of a Connexium or Modicon Switch that already has an IP address
1. Select the appropriate row that has the Connexium or Modicon switch you want to change IP address
2. Then select Edit from the tool bar
3. Select 'Change Device Properties' from menu
4. Type in new IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway for the Connexium or Modicon Switch
5. Type in new IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway for the Connexium or Modicon Switch
6. Click 'Save as Default' button to setp new IP address as default IP
7. Click Okay button
8. The changed IP address has been assigned to the Connexium or Modicon Switch
Now that the new IP addresses have been assigned to the Connexium or Modicon Switches, the Configuration utility can be closed.
