Issue
Customers require a minimum of 8 characters for their RADIUS secret on NMC2 devices when using the message authenticator setting.

Resolution
Schneider Electric has added a new RADIUS setting as of firmware version 7.2.0 called the RADIUS Message Authenticator. In order to use the RADIUS Message Authenticator the RADIUS Secret must now be configured for a minimum of 8 characters.
Configuration of the RADIUS secret can be done through the following methods:
- Web User Interface (UI) – Configuration/Security/Remote Users/RADIUS.
- Click on the IP address hyperlink for the Primary RADIUS server you are configuring.

- Enter the RADIUS secret (minimum 8 characters in length) under the Secret section.

- Click Apply.
- Repeat this step for the Secondary RADIUS server if necessary.
- Command Line Interface (CLI) – Accessible via the console port or Telnet/SSH.
- To configure the RADIUS secret for the primary or secondary server use the following syntax. Note: The RADIUS secret must be a minimum of 8 characters.
- radius -s1 <RADIUS secret> then <enter>.
