How to take Archive Database Backup in Ecostruxure Automation Expert 25.0

This knowledge base article explains user on how to take the Archive Database backup in Ecostruxure Automation Expert software.

In Ecostruxure Automation Expert, Postgre Sql is the database used for storing the data for trends and Alarms. Therefore, we can take database backup by opening the PgAdmin4 tool.

User has to provide password for "postgres" user which has been defined during installation of Postgre Sql software.

Upon giving the correct credentials, pgAdmin4 shall be opened and displays all the available databases like shown below.

Select our required Database which is linked to our project and right click on it. you will find an option "Backup", click on it.

A popup will be appeared where you have to click on folder icon to provide the path of the Database backup to be saved.

After this, just keep all the default settings and click on Backup button, this will finish the backup activity and saves the file at defined location.

This completes the procedure for taking Archive Database backup in Ecostruxure Automation Expert software.
