How to change the default directory of Archive database in Ecostruxure Automation Expert.

This knowledge base article explains user on how to  change the default directory(C Drive) of Archive dtabase in Ecostruxure Automation Expert.

1. For safer side, take a backup of existing Postgre SQL Database to a particular location.

2. Check the current data directory location. By default it is "c:/Programfiles/PostgreSql/16/Data".

(*16 folder number comes as per the version of Postgre installed)

3. Stop the "PostgreSql-x64-16" service from services.msc.

4. Copy the contents in the "Data" folder and paste to the new location.

5. Open registery editor and go to the path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlset\Services\postgresql-x64-16. Find the parameter "Image Path" which consists the database path and you need to change to your new data path.

6. Start the "PostgreSql-x64-16" service from services.msc.

User can observe that the Data is getting stored in the new changed folder location.
