Power Monitoring Expert (PME) How to capture OPC UA Logs

Power Monitoring Expert (PME) can function as an OPC UA server and/or client. OPC UA logs can be used for analysis.

Cause

See here for configuring PME as an OPC UA client and here as a server. OPC UA logs can aid in resolving issues that may occur.

Resolution

1. Navigate to the [PME installation folder]\system\bin  (Typically found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\bin)
2. Open the OpcUAserver.exe.config
3. Enable the opc logs, by changing the text below from "false" to "true"
   
4. Restart the OPC UA Windows Server service
5. A log folder shall be created under %programdata%/schneiderelectric/PME/OPC/server/
6. Note: Do not keep these logs enabled for too long; recommended only while the issue is occurring. If these are enabled for longer, this may consume system space, and if not turned off it may slow down the system.
