The Drive is able to modulate the switching frequency, in function of the thermal state. If the thermal state is too high the drive will automatically reduce the switching frequency. To simplify, the temperature level is determined by the drive with measuring the heat sink temperature.
Above 2.5, 4 or 12 kHz, depending on the rating, the drive will reduce the switching frequency automatically in the event of an excessive temperature rise.
