The VW3M1C10R is designed for max. 3m..It`s a shielded cable with 50pin connector on drive side and other end is open.
For longer cables below are the specifications
Cable specifications are valid for signal cables :
Shield: Required, both ends grounded
Twisted Pair: Required
PELV: Required
Minimum conductor cross section: 0.14 mm2 (AWG 24) .
The cable lenght depends on the signal type .
Do not use signals without push-pull (open collector) in the case of cable lengths of more than 3 m.
For push pull max. 10m
RS422 max 100m is ok (fullfills RS422 standards ).
