The ATS22 softstarter could not stop the application with a deceleration time less than the natural deceleration (due to inertia) of the machine.
The deceleration profile on ATS22 (voltage or torque) apply energy to the motor and does not permit evacuating energy or dissipate energy on the motor.
Unlike ATS48, ATS22 has no dynamic braking for high inertia.
So, the best way could be to check the DEC parameter compared to the natural deceleration of the application (DEC needs to be > natural deceleration).
