SCF1 or Motor Short Circuit Fault in ATV9A APM Drive

SCF1 or Short-circuit or grounding at the drive output in ATV9A0

The short circuit between the phase output and phase to the ground is monitored by the drive.

When there is a short circuit, the inverter triggers the error message SCF1.

It is a very quick (few μs) hardware detection, the threshold is about 3 to 4 times of the nominal

current of the Power unit / Inverter brick Imax /Transistor feedback

There is a short circuit at the

inverter output.

Short circuit or ground fault in the motor or motor cable.

Ground fault error The stored configuration (HMI)was loaded from a different firmware (MCP/MCE)

Perform the diagnostic functions on the HMI, or SoMove service section.

Verify the cables connecting the drive to the motor, and the motor insulation.

Adjust the switching frequency.

Connect chokes in series with the motor.

SCF1 can a several root causes including too high dynamic in the speed loop settings

If motor is OK, customer must check the current SLCR with the fast scope to check if any current pics

If SCF1 comes without connected motor, then there will be a hardware problem with the drive.
