Light Switches and Electrical Sockets
What Are Electric Switches?
An electric switch is a simple yet essential device that controls the flow of electricity, allowing you to turn devices on or off by opening or closing a circuit.
Upgrade with Modern Switches
Schneider Electric India’s modular switches blend seamlessly with any decor, offering superior control, protection, and innovative features. Choose from weatherproof sockets, high-tech dimmers, and elegant designs in natural materials.
Why Use Electric Switches?
- Control devices effortlessly without unplugging.
- Enhance safety by isolating circuits to prevent shocks or fires.
- Conveniently power appliances as needed.
Schneider Electric India provides a wide range of switches, from flush-mounted to smart sensors, ensuring easy installation, energy efficiency, and durability. A well-designed switchboard acts as the central hub for seamless power management.
Flush-mounted switches and sockets are built into the wall to create a clean, space-saving finish for kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, and offices. These flush-mounted switches and flush-mounted sockets help reduce visible clutter while supporting safe, durable, and easy-to-maintain home electrical solutions. From modular switches to modern switch sockets, Schneider Electric offers electrical switches designed to match contemporary interiors and daily power needs.
For Indian homes, Schneider Electric offers durable switch ranges such as AvatarON, Clipsal X, Livia, Miluz Lara, Miluz ZeTa, Opale, Unica Pure, and ZENcelo. You can explore and buy them through Schneider Electric’s official online store or use the “Where to buy” option on the website.
For modular kitchen or living room installations, flush-mounted modular switch sockets are a practical choice. They sit neatly on the wall, support a modern look, improve usability, and work well for appliances, lighting, and plug-in needs.

A proximity sensor is a non-contact device that detects the presence of an item when it enters its sensory field. Depending on the type of proximity sensor, the sensor may detect a target via sound, light, infrared radiation (IR), or electromagnetic fields. A proximity sensor frequently generates an electromagnetic field or a beam of electromagnetic radiation to detect changes in the electromagnetic field or return signal.
There are several proximity sensors, and they all detect targets differently. The inductive proximity sensor and the capacitive sensor are the two types of proximity sensors most frequently utilized and commonly found in electrical switches and light switches. Due to the lack of mechanical components and physical contact between the sensor and the item being detected, proximity sensors are capable of great reliability and extended useful lives. Additionally, proximity and presence sensors are also found in electrical sockets, switches, and light switches.
