How To Add Manual Waveform Trigger Into ION Setup 2.0

Issue
There is no way to perform a manual waveform trigger with ION Setup 2.0

Cause
By default ION Setup does not provide a way to manually trigger a waveform.

Resolution
*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).

The recommended solution is to upgrade to a version of ION Setup 3.0 which has included the manual waveform trigger.

If an upgrade to ION Setup 3.0 is not possible then the below solution will work:

What ION Setup displays is determined by the setup tables. Look in the IONSetup/tables directory and you will see one subdirectory for each meter type.  Inside you can find a file called Enables.pml.

Edit this Enables.pml:

1. Replace the Rows=5 line with Rows=6
2. Add into Page1 after the R5C4 entry:
R6C2=0x68b9,1,0,WavefrmTrig

The handle 0x68b9 is the handle of the External Pulse module that triggers waveforms on the 7500/7600/8400/8500 meters.
