How to change the "IEC Keep Alive" period on Power SCADA Operation?
Issue:
For each IEC 61850 equipment, Power SCADA Operation (PSO) sends each second an "IEC Keep Alive" frame to know that the IED is still alive. Sending these frames every second to each equipment in a large system is too much. Where can this value be changed?

Resolution:

To change the ā€œIEC keep aliveā€ period the ClientKeepAliveTime parameter should be modified.
This can be done either in citect.ini, or in the Studio > Setup > Parameters by adding/editing the following section:
[IEC61850N]
ClientKeepAliveTime = 1 (value is expressed in seconds and the default value is 1)

Please check more details about this parameter in the Driver Reference Help.
It is accessible within the Power SCADA Studio > Topology > I/O Devices > "? Driver Reference Help" menu.
Try to scroll the Content section and expand the IEC61850N section to reach this content:
"IEC61850 Driver > Advanced configuration and maintenance > Customizing a project using Citect.ini parameters > IEC61850 driver parameters".
