Can I use the BMXDAI1614 as a traditional input module if I disable the "Wiring Check" option?

Yes. The BMXDAI1614 will operate as a traditional input when the "Wiring Check" option is turned off.

With this module, you have the ability to monitor each channel separately to determine if a sensor is connected. It does this by monitoring the leakage current of the sensor when it is off. If it detects that no sensor is connected, it will set bit 9 of the CH_FLT.
