What causes an E-Flex drive to trip on overheating fault OHF?
Issue:
E-Flex drive is tripping on OHF

Product line:
Altivar ATV61 E-Flex enclosed drives

Environment:
All models, all serial numbers

Cause:
Cooling fans are not running or the thermal sensor may be bad

Resolution:
Check the heat sink cooling fans to see if they are running.  If they are not running remove the fan connector and check to see if you have voltage on the terminals.  If you have good voltage then the heat sink cooling fans are bad. If you don't have voltage on the terminals you may have a bad power board and or drive.   To check the thermal sensor you can monitor the drives thermal temp % in Menu 1.2 monitoring. If the thermal % is jumping around erratic you may have a bad thermal sensor.
