You can configure Security Expert server to connect to and send notifications by email through an SMTP server. E-mail on Event feature is included in Security Expert base license.
- From Global Settings | Email, configure E-mail settings which Security Expert server will use to send E-mails. You may test notifications by entering an email address then click Test E-mail Settings to check your configuration.
- Create an event filter, if not already created, for events the will trigger the email (Ex. Door events)
2.a Select the ADD icon
2.b. Name the Event Filter Door Events and then select the EVENT TYPES tab
2.c From the EVENT TYPES tab, set the following
Include All Event Types: Deselected
Select the Add button
2.d Expand the All Door Events folder and select the required events.
2.f Save your settings
- Create Action to enable you to trigger a process, E-mail notification, that runs automatically when specific events occur.
3.a Navigate to Events | Actions.
3.b From the GENERAL tab, set the following;
Name: Door Events
Type: Send E-mail
Event Filter: Select event filter created from the last step.
3.c Under E-MAIL SETTINGS set the following:
E-mail Address: (enter your email address)
Subject: <DESCRIPTION> <FIELD_TIME>
