Article available in these languages: Spanish, Korean

Issue:
What will cause the ATV212 not to go into local mode when pressing the LOC/REM button?

Product Line:
ALTIVAR 212, ALTIVAR 21

Environment:
All serial number

Cause:
When pressing the LOC/REM button the drive will not go to LOC mode.

Resolution:
This could possibly be due to parameter F732 (LOC/REM button disabled) being set to 1. If so, set F732 to 0.   However, if the LOC/REM button is not disabled, then it is likely, the keypad is defective, the drive will need to be replaced.
