What is the difference between NFC and RFID for Evlink Pro AC ?
RFID (Radio frequency identification) systems consist of a reader with an antenna and a transponder. There are three different RFID frequency ranges : low frequencies, high frequencies and upper high frequencies. RFID can be used for long distances (for example in highway tolls)

NFC is based on RFID protocols. It operates on the same high frequency as RFID. Because of the short read range limitations, NFC devices have to be in very close proximity and are used for short distances (for example in phones).

Therefore, the main difference between NFC and RFID is the distance at which they can be used.
