Schneider Electric took part in Datacenter Nation Riyadh 2026, reinforcing its position as a key technology partner in advancing scalable, resilient, and energy-efficient data center infrastructure across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.During the event, Schneider Electric participated in a high-level panel discussion titled “Racing the Deployment of Large-Scale Data Centers: Challenges, Innovations, and Partnerships.” The session convened hyperscalers, developers, investors, regulators, and technology providers to address how the region can accelerate large-scale data center deployment in step with rapid digital transformation. The discussion highlighted the surging demand for advanced computing infrastructure. Referencing industry data from Goldman Sachs, panelists noted that advanced compute workloads are projected to grow from 13% to 28% of the data center market by 2027 — increasing the need for infrastructure that is both high-performance and energy efficient.Schneider Electric representatives, including Mourad Younes, C&SP Senior Director MEA, and Ahmed GamalEldin, Secure Power Vice President for KSA, Pakistan, Yemen, and Bahrain, emphasized innovations in power and cooling, particularly liquid cooling technologies designed to support higher-density workloads. They also pointed to modular and prefabricated data center designs as critical to reducing construction timelines and improving delivery certainty.Broader themes from the panel included the importance of stronger collaboration between hyperscalers, developers, and vendors; the need for harmonized standards and regulatory alignment; investment and risk-sharing models to accelerate project timelines; and talent development to ensure sustainable sector growth.Mohamed Shaheen, CEO of Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Pakistan, and Bahrain, underscored that the Kingdom’s data center expansion is increasing in both scale and complexity, requiring close coordination among ecosystem partners to deliver reliable, energy-efficient, and future-ready infrastructure.Schneider Electric reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with customers and partners to support the continued growth of Saudi Arabia’s data center ecosystem.
