Issue:
Setting up communication between a TSX Micro PLC and XBTGT via the TSXETZ410/510 gateway.
Product Line:
TSX Micro, XBTGTxxxx
Resolution:
The TSXETZ module, TSX Micro PLC and HMI must be configured as follow.
1. Configure the TSXETZ module by via it's web pages. If you know the IP address type it in your browser. You will be prompted to enter the user and password. The default HTTP user name is USER and the password is USER. Click on the "IP Configuration"
2. Take note of the XWAY Address of the module. The network is 1 and the station number is 7. This XWAY address you will need for the HMI as well as the IP address.
3. Got to the Unitelway Configuration and verify what is configured for the parity bit. The parity bit must match what is configured for the PLC. In this case the parity is Odd parity.
4. In the PLC Channel 0 configuration, the parity must match what is configured in the TSXETZ module. The type must be "Master" and the "number of slaves" set to 8. The baud rate does not matter as the TSXETZ module is set to Auto.
5. In Vijeo Designer, you will add the XWAY TCP driver and assign the HMI an IP address and XWAY-Address. In this case the HMI XWAY address is 1.9. The XWAY address must be different from that of the TSXETZ module.
6. In Vijeo Designer Equipment configuration, enter the IP address of the TSXETZ module and the network and station number 1.7
