Resolution:See attachment for screenshots showing SoMove V2.9.4 STEP 1Turn OFF your computers firewall before starting so you will have access to your Ethernet port. STEP 2Edit Connection on your computers ethernet port and setup IP address in the Altivar Drive using an HMI.Computer or PC setup:Example setting up your PCs IP address.Search Ethernet settings-Change adapter options- Choose the Ethernet port you want to use.-Choose Properties-Make sure IPV4 and IPV6 are both checked. -Double click on the IPV4 settings-Select "Use the following IP address" and now enter in an IP address for your PCs ethernet port. Note this IP address needs to match your Drives IP address up to the last octet. Drives IP address= 10.172.86.1 (for the Drive) and your PC's IP address = 10.172.86.10 (your computer)Subnet address= 255.255.255.0-Choose okDrive SetupExample set your Drives IP address using the remote HMI under the Ethernet settings in the programming. You can find this unique password on your HMI under the Communications menu, Embedded Ethernet configuration, and find SECE. SECE select OK on the HMI and then select WDPE and press ok. Somove is loading settings from the Drive to your Somove on your PC. Your are now connected to the Drive when the bar across the top turn's orange. Please be aware that you will be required to enter a password when you connect via Ethernet or Profinet if your Process Drive is version V3.3IE or higher so if you live in an area or work for a company that does not require or mandate having a password for Ethernet or Profinet for cyber security you can disable the feature if desired. Otherwise leave the feature active which can offer the best cyber security. Done. On a Rack PDU specifically, the LCD display will show the firmware version for three seconds and then will resume normal operation, at which time you can also remove the flash drive.Universal Serial Bus (USB) 1.1 – Network Management Card 3 devices with USB (firmware versions 2.5.0 and lower)This feature is available in bootloader version v1.3.3.1 and higher. Battery Damage When Battery Is Left Discharged

Issue When a battery is allowed to be at a low level of charge for too long, it can become damaged. Product Line All Environment All Cause Allowing batteries to stand for long time after a discharge without recharging will cause plate "sulfation." Sulfation is the formation of large crystals or hard lead sulfate on the battery plates. Excessive sulfation of this kind is difficult to reduce and may cause premature damage (i.e. overheating or inability of the battery to retain charge). Lead sulfate is difficult and some times impossible to reduce by conventional charging methods. Resolution A charged battery, disconnected from a UPS or load, can maintain ideal voltage for approximately six months before recharge is necessary. A discharged battery needs to be recharged within 72 hours of the discharge to avoid permanent battery damage. Storing a UPS with the battery connected can cause permanent battery damage within a few days to a week. A UPS should be stored after complete battery recharging with the battery disconnected. Per manufacturer's recommendations all Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries should be immediately recharged following a discharge. VRLA batteries should recover fully in terms of capacity and service life if recharged within 72 hours following a discharge. No VRLA battery should ever be allowed to drop below 1.0 volt per cell on discharge (i.e. 6 VDC for a 12 volt battery). If a customer's situation falls within the previous scenario the best course of action is to replace the affected batteries. APC UPSs will charge the battery when the UPS is plugged in and the battery is connected to the UPS. In addition all APC UPSs will protect their batteries against over discharge when possible, but, as implied above, the storage life of the battery will be shortened relative to the amount of charge removed.

As there is an impedance mismatch at the termination of the motor cable to the motor, there will be a reflected wave which travels back along the motor cable causingovervoltage’s. Overvoltage’s on the motor terminals can cause both partial and corona discharge which eventually wears down the winding insulation to failure. Corona discharge occurs when the overvoltage is large enough to cause electrons to flow from one winding to another whilst ionising the air between the conductors. They cause damage to the internal and external insulating material respectively. As the motor cable length increases the peak voltage increases. This can increase to a value of 2 to 2.5 times the DC bus voltage.
