Can the ATV630 be powered directly to the DC bus?

No, the ATV630 cannot be powered this way. Moreover, the ATV630 cannot be used in 'bus tying' applications either. The DC bus terminals on the ATV630 are only intended for measurement purposes. These terminals should not be used for powering up the DC bus. Please consider an ATV930 for this type of application.
