Why is a dialog pop-up being displayed on install of SiteManager 9.3.0.20442 compared to the previous versions of the SiteManager?”

Some Magelis and Harmony iPCs running with Windows 10 and an old IPCType driver are not recognized as Schneider Electric devices when installing SiteManager. The goal of this article is to inform about the change that was introduced in the SiteManager installer version 9.3 in order to upgrade the driver.

This topic is related to the SiteManager software Windows OS installer.

Since SiteManager version 9.3.0.20442 and greater, during the execution of the installer of the SiteManager on your Windows OS HMI, the SiteManager installer will request you to accept to upgrade the driver IPCType (file "IPCType32.sys"/"IPCType64.sys") of your Windows OS system, in case that driver is not up to date on your system. If you accept the request of the SiteManager installer, the driver IPCType will be upgraded, so that the SiteManager installer is able to detect the Schneider Electric serial of your HMI, thus allowing the installation of the SiteManager to be completed.
