Environment:
All part numbers
Cause:
It's unclear how this function works in the manual
Resolution:
As an Example: The customer needs a signal from R2A/R2C on the drive to indicate the motor speed is above 30 Hz in order to start other equipment.
- under Complete Settings and the Input/Output Configuration; go the the Relay submenu and program the R2 assignment to Mot Freq High Thd (as displayed on the keypad) or Motor frequency high threshold reached (as shown in SoMove).
- Under Complete Settings and the Generic Functions menu, go to Threshold Reached and set Motor Frequency Threshold to the setpoint required (30.0 Hz for this example).
When the drive ramps up to 30.0 Hz or higher the R2A/R2C normally open contact will close.
When ramping below 30.0 Hz the relay will actually remain closed until the output frequency goes below 29.6Hz (there is a 0.3Hz deadband when slowing down to prevent rapid cycling of the relay output).
