How the "broken wire" option on X80 analog input modules works?

How to use the "broken wire "option embedde in X80 analog module ? (Example using BMXART0814 analog input module ).

Resolution:

Example using the BMXART0814 analog input module with the 'Broken Wire Test' enabled:

If one of the input wires becomes broken or disconnected, the fault can be detected using one of the following methods:

  • The module's 'ERR' LED will turn red, and the corresponding channel LED will blink to indicate the fault:

  • The faulty channel will be displayed in the Debug view of the module:
