Power Operation Studio Won't Run: Citecti.ini could not be found

Issue

When opening the Power Operation Studio, it fails with the message: "

The application could not be started, for one of the following reasons:

• The Citect.ini file could not be found
• You do not have permission to read and write the Citect.ini
• You do not have permission to read and write one of the directories in the user and data directory You do not have permission to read the required registry key.

Ensure your account is included in the correct Security Role in the Configurator. See the Log Viewer for more information. "

Environment

Power Operation Studio

Cause

After replacing the citect.ini in the Program Data/Schneider Electric/Power Operation/Config folder, this error will pop up. The config file needs to be changed by the Setup Editor inside of Power Operation Studio.

Resolution

Replace the citect.ini in the correct path. Power Operation Studio should work properly. If an alternative .ini file would be preferred you can follow the instructions here:Use an Alternative INI File.
