RTP Preset effect on STBEHC3020

Issue

The purpose of this resolution is to alert STBEHC3020 users to the effect of using Run Time Parameters to do a count preset.

Resolution

When the Run Time Parameters feature is used to Preset the count value in an STBEHC3020 HSC marked SV: 01.60 or lower, the existing count value will go to zero and no further counting will occur. The counter validity bit will also be zeroed.

If a Direct Counter Reset is issued after an RTP Preset, the new Preset value will take effect and counting will begin. If the Direct Counter Reset bit was set at the time of the RTP Preset, an island power cycle will be required to allow EHC operation to continue.
