ION Enterprise assumes that a device being added into the Management Console is set to 'NONE' for the parity. If the device is set to 'EVEN', the direct site configuration must be changed from 'NONE' to 'EVEN'. The parity settings are accessed through the Advanced Properties of the Site configuration:
1. In the Management Console, click on the Sites button to view the added sites.
2. Right-click on the serial site and select Configure Site.
3. Once the site is open, right-click in the empty grey space and select Advanced Properties.
4. Scroll toward the bottom to locate the Parity setting and then change the configuration as needed.
