Issue
Vista on a client machine will stop displaying real time data when kept open for a day or two (sometimes overnight), and all objects will have a yellow outline.

The tool tip says: ""Operation timed out. The ION Site Server service on the target machine has been shut down. "ION Real Time Data Service did not respond on time." The value has not been read in 5 seconds…""

On the primary server, Vista is still displaying data, and the services are running without a problem.

Cause
A network glitch between the client and server interrupts communications and Vista does not automatically re-establishing a connection.

Resolution
Restarting Vista on the client resolves the issue, as does navigating to different diagrams.
