Issue
The I/O Expander module for the ION 8600 is compatible with the ION 8300, 8400, and 8500 series power meters as long as the meter's firmware is at an appropriate version.

The I/O Expander module connects to the meter utilizing the 24-pin Molex connector, and break out both the I/O options and the serial communication options (COM1 and COM2/COM4 depending on meter).
