Momentum Processor Run LED May Blink 2x with an Crash Code 836 After a Power Cycle

Issue
This resolution describes a potential issue where the Momentum PLC RUN LED blinks in an error pattern after a power cycle.

A Momentum PLC Run LED may blink 2x with a crash code 836 after the Momentum assembly is power cycled. The same error may also occur if the Momentum PLC is in RUN mode (without a power cycle event). This condition may occur only if a 172PNN2x022 or 172JNN21032 is part of the assembly. The error will not occur if the 172PNN2x022 or 172JNN21032 is removed or not part of the assembly.

This resolution affects the following adapters with the PV number and the 'Date of Manufacture' (DOM) listed:
The PV and DOM numbers are found on the battery access door of the PNN and JNN adapters.

Changes were made to optimize filtering on the power supply circuit to improve power on and runtime stability. These changes are not field upgradeable.

If the Momentum PLC Run LED is exhibiting the symptoms described above, it is recommended that the 172PNN2x022 or 172JNN21032 be exchanged. If an exchange is necessary, reference the Quality Information document IQ102452 when ordering.
