No trap receiver is visible after discovering an APC device with Data Center Expert

Cause
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE) does not behave as a standard trap receiver. DCE instead uses Priority Scanning to detect alarms and threshold violations. To do this, the server registers itself in a hidden field that is not visible to the user. This registration does not cause standard SNMP traps to be sent. Instead, the unit sends a simple trap that notifies the DCE server that there is an alert. Afterwards, the server scans the unit to gather specific information about the alert or alerts that may be present in the priority scanning table.

Resolution:

This feature is functioning as intended. This feature is only applicable to APC devices.
