Resolution
*Warning: Take backups of any files prior to modifying them. Ensure the backups are in a location that will not be overwritten (i.e. the Desktop).*
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with the installation and commissioning of Power Monitoring Expert systems. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*

Before performing any upgrade, please take time to plan for your specific customer.

Attached are the Power Monitoring Expert 8.1 Upgrade Guides.  They include side by side upgrade procedures from each supported version of ION Enterprise, SPM and PME to the following:

• Power Monitoring Expert 8.1
• Power Monitoring Expert 8.1 - Data Center Edition
• Power Monitoring Expert 8.1 - Healthcare Edition

Please ensure you are familiar with this procedure before proceeding with an upgrade.
The Configuration Manager Tool for PME 8.1 can be found in FA402581.

NOTE: You MUST have your Power Monitoring Expert 8 License available before performing the upgrade.  It can be obtained through the PME Licensing Portal.
