Cause
For applications that provide runtime and historical data to clients, a service interruption cannot be tolerated. The application should start automatically at system power on to minimize downtime.
Resolution
When PSE is installed, the service 'Citect Runtime Manager' is created. This service adds the functionality to start the project automatically after the server is restarted. Follow these two steps to configure this service:
1. Add a dependency to FlexNet Licensing Service. Open a command prompt (DOS window) and type this command to run:
2. Change the startup type to 'Automatic (Delayed Start)' and start the Citect Runtime Manager service.
Now the user can log in and log out without disrupting the system. For complete information refer to System Development Guide for PSE 8.1.
