How to export the System Key in Power Monitoring Expert?

Issue:
When installing an Engineering Client or Secondary Server, a System Key file is required from the Primary Server. This key is typically generated during the installation of the Primary Server, however this step may have been skipped, or the file has since been misplaced. Without the System Key file, an Engineering Client or Secondary Server cannot be installed.

Resolution:
To export the System Key after Power Monitoring Exper has been installed:

  1. On the Primary Server, navigate to the Windows Control Panel and then Programs and Features
  2. Find and select "Power Monitoring Expert" from the list
  3. Click "Change" from the top of the menu to bring up the install options menu.
  4. Select the "Export System Key" option from the menu.
