Issue:
Customer wants to use an external 24VDC supply on just the STO terminals.

Separate external 24VDC for STO
Resolution:
Yes an external 24VDC supply may be used for the STO circuit. See example diagram below.
The external supply must follow recommendation below:
The cable must be a shielded cable and connected to the earth like shown on STOA/STOB wiring ( on picture above)
